Life is hard.

If you had a teenage boy cousin who listened to really terrible screamo (like this) and you wanted to make him a CD of good ol' fashioned 90s grunge/I-hate-my-life music, that would be much more fulfilling for him than any of that crap, if I can force him to actually listen to it, what would you put on it? I've got so far:

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Hole - Doll Parts
Radiohead - Creep

I'm also thinking some Metallica, Pearl Jam, I dunno... SUBMIT IDEAS.

  2. I don't know about early 90's grunge, but I could suggest some better hardcore/grind bands.

  3. I have seen many things, but in my lifetime there have been three events which changed my life forever:

    1. After millions of dollars and years of hard work, scientists finally managed to combine peanut butter and jelly in a single jar. A staple food of the American diet was never the same.

    2. David Hasselhoff single-handedly tore down the Berlin Wall.

    3. My ears were serenaded with the sweet, sweet sounds of "Kevinity"; arguably the best album ever...EVER. Numerous music critics heard the album before it was printed and they predicted that if it was released it would revolutionize the way people listened to music. The music industry would collapse, no artist could ever compete with it's absolute "brilliance", and overnight thousands of musicians would be put out of a job.

  5. Anything by Nickelback. I think that qualifies because every time I listen to them on the radio I want to slit my wrists.

  7. Oh don't forget to add anything sung by Cory Campbell. Someone needs to sign that dude to a label.
